So Much Love...

I just love Thursdays. It's when I get to catch up with my friends on Splitcoast. We swap stories, ideas, projects. We put bandaids on skinned knees, and hugs on all the emotional owwies. I could not live without them now!

I love this stamp. It puts the world in perspective. Whateva - it doesn't matter, I'm not gonna give promotion to the difficulties in life. They are there whether we accept, acknowledge them or not. We should all practice "Whateva" a lot more, IMHO.
This is my latest purchase from QVC. It's In Stitchz by Bazzill. It has punch templates, a punch tool, 4 needles and 12 colors of floss. I enjoyed playing with this today to make:

Thanks for dropping in! I love to hear what you think. Stay tuned. I will have blog candy to give away in a few days.

It's Friday! That means it's HANGOVER day!

Did you have fun yesterday on the hip hop?? Wow, those ladies really put together a gorgeous art parade. Today, the customers get their blogs listed for the hangover hop. I hope you'll check out everyone's work! I got a ton of ideas yesterday, and I hope to use some of the ideas tonight and tomorrow with Virtual Stamping Night. Come join us!

I have been working on my son's scripture devotional using 7 Gypsies Artist Trading Cards (ATC). Below are the front and back of what I have put together so far. This has been fun to create and I'm looking forward to growing in God's love together with him. The product details can be found in my SCS gallery.

I have a scrapbook page I'd like to share with you. This is my husband's passion - his garden. One of the hip hop challenges was to use an embellishment three times on a project. I used Fastenater staple bars to hold the torn portions of the patterned paper to the base. I distressed the page to reflect how things become tattered when exposed to the elements. I hope you enjoy looking at this!

Plain colored paper, SEI; Cardstock, Bazzill; Patterned paper, Magnolia by My Mind's Eye; Ribbon, Offray; Staples, Swingline; Staple bars, Fastenater; Flower brad, Making Memories; Ink, Ranger Ink; Stamp, Unity Dec 2008 KOTM.

Don't forget to sign your blog up for the World Record Inspirational Blog Hop on March 28. It's going to be HUGE.

A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Hip Hop...

So, JingeBear was roaming around in the pantry today, doing her usual bunny inspection. I picked her up for a little nose-lovin' and I thought....I smell chocolate. I started walking around the house holding her, and trying to find out where the chocolate was hiding. Then it occurred to me that SHE smelled like chocolate. After a little investigating, I found a box of brownie mix had been chewed through and all the mix was gone. So, we had a little bunny bath, and the pantry was re-examined for appropriate things in the bunny zone. Don't worry - she's fine. There's cocoa powder in the brownie mix rather than deadly chocolate. However, it does explain her recent hyperness!

I'm writing this on Wednesday, in preparation for Hip Hop. Are you in? Do you know about Hip Hop? No?? First, go to the Unity blog at 10 a.m. Central time, and see the list of blogs you will hop along and view. Follow the leader, like a good bunny - go to the first blog mentioned on the Unity blog in the middle of Thursday's blog entry. Read that blog, comment, then look for the next blog name in that blog entry. Hop to that next blog and so on. Then, meet us at 11 a.m. Central in the Splitcoast Stampers forum - look for a thread that says Hip Hop. Play along and have fun! Oh - and don't forget to go back to Unity's blog to check out the specials - Angela will post this after the blog hop is done.

This project commemorates a fishing trip we took to Lake Powell. It's an 8x8 double page spread. You can find the supplies list here.

Can I get a HIP HOP?? Are you hanging over, too?

Welcome to the hangover! We had such a good time hip hopping today. I don't think I won anything, but everytime I play with my friends I feel richly rewarded!
Such an open group. So warm, so real, so welcoming.

I hope you will come join us!

Welcome to my little corner! This is a double page layout I did for Patter's scripture challenge. It's all Unity! Supplies list. This one (above) was about change - how do you address change in your life, how do you address God when you experience change.

This is another for Patter's scripture challenge. It's about kindness, so I made an area where I can journal about random acts of kindness shown to me, or shared with others. Supplies list.

This double page spread features Unity stamps, and stamping on acrylic. I love coloring the Unity images. I used the Gamsol method with rubbing nibs and baby oil. I have also heard that UnDo works as well. For a complete supply list (pages are identified separately) go here and here.

Angela spoiled us all yesterday with GREAT SALES and NEW RELEASES! Check it out! Angela is so generous - the sales last until midnight Central Time on Friday, Feb. 12. After you drool over the stamps, come join us at Splitcoast Stampers for more fun chat, ideas and general fun!

STAY TUNED: MARCH 28, 2009 - MEGA HIP HOP IS COMING. ARE YOU PREPARED??

I volunteered some bunny pictures. Forgive me if they are repeats. Both are doing fine. Tinker (the white one) crashed, and JingeBear loves to help me stamp and scrap. Such precious lives.

I think they should be our Unity Hip Hop mascots!! But, I'm biased...being their mom. I hope you have a fabulous and blessed weekend.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Jam Packed Weekend!

Wow. Pardon the delay in posts, but it was a very busy weekend. It took me two days of a full night's sleep and a 4 hour nap each day just to get back to whatever passes for normal. My weekend, however, was FUN! I started on Friday with the Splitcoast Stampers virtual scrapbooking challenge, and played all the way up til the Superbowl!

This was one of my projects, inspired by Chelsea's challenge to distress to impress. I really love having lots of Unity stamps because they are just perfect! Supplies list.

This double page spread was completed for Chris' challenge to document the love of our lives. Both this project and the one above were also completed for Patter's scripture challenge (see right side blinkie). Supplies list.

Tomorrow is HIP HOP THURSDAY with Unity. Come join us! The Unity peeps are home from CHA and I'm sure they'll be teasing us, and having new product releases, great challenges, prizes and loving chatter! I hope to see you there!

Welcome to the Bunny Nest! I host rescued animals in a small in-home setting. Currently, I host 3 bunnies and 2 kitties. These animals will be socialized and housed for the entirety of their lives in my home. They inspire my crafts, and I use any proceeds to pay for their needs. Thanks for visiting!
