It's October - time for ghouls and goblins, Friday night football, baseball playoffs and the beginning of the hockey season. It's easily my favorite month. It's also a scary month because midnight of Halloween begins the month for writing novels. I've written several, but I've not published. I don't have a good concept yet, but one will come. They always do. Meanwhile, I'm still working on cards.
I cut 3 hexagon bases with the die, then layered the black hex paper and red foil over the white layer. I used a little sponging of Watermelon Wonder just to carry the red through the card. Easy little sentiment and a spiral of curling ribbon. I attached the curling ribbon and sentiment to the panel with my little stapler.
October is also the month that everything turns pink. Cardmakers are cranking out cards for MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. You see, when cancer victims, families, even the staff are spending significant time there, they are often separated by the ones they love. These cards are available for them to use for free to stay in touch, offer encouragement, or even to share a laugh.
It's just so cool how the Splitcoast Stampers bring all their best for causes like these. If you'd like to join in, you can visit the forum HERE. Now - get out there and bless someone! And if you have an idea for a novel...

Ky--very nice!!! Love it---is the underlay part of the hex die?--then you sponged the color on using Watermelon Wonder?
